Why did you start umpiring?
To challenge myself and be involved in the game.

Who has given you the most help in your career?
My mentor Jeremy Busby and NZC Coach Tony Hill have both been instrumental in helping me develop as an umpire.

Which is your favourite cricket ground to umpire at and why?
Adelaide Oval. The history, the atmosphere and the location of my first appointment at an International cricket ground.

If you could invent a new law or playing condition, what would it be?
There are plenty of them already thanks!

Why should people get involved in umpiring?
If you love cricket then the best place to be is on the park!

What advice would you give to aspiring umpires?
Get as much game time as possible, the more experience you can get the more you will improve. Be open to constructive feedback. Most of all, mistakes don’t define you, we all make them, so use them as a learning moment.
